WMNF Sci-Fi Comedy Cosmic Significance 2012, Final Episode Sunday 9pm

TAMPA, FL. – Will the world truly end on December 21, 2012? Find out this Sunday!  WMNF’s Soundstage presents the final episode of COSMIC SIGNIFICANCE 2012, a new sci-fi comedy series by Dewey Davis-Thompson and Elizabeth Brackman on July 29 at 9pm on WMNF’s HD3 channel and online at wmnf.org/thesource.

Starring WMNF’s Ed Lehman as xeno-archaeologist Dr. Von Icken and USF Theatre students Joe Montalto, Audrey Henson and Clinton Lancaster, the final episode includes a battle in the rings of Saturn between the Space Hopi and Horse-ships of the Apocalypse, a rock concert, Pharaonic wedding and virgin sacrifice to mark the end of the Great Mayan Pictun on December 21, 2012. Apotheosis or Armageddon?

WMNF Operations Officer and Soundstage Radio Theatre producer Sheila Cowley calls this six-episode series “Dewey’s Epic Sci-Fi Ring Cycle” and she praises the superb sound design and special effects by Dave Lassa.  The Gazette called Davis-Thompson “Oscar Wilde for the Third Millennium” and Gary Garrison of The Loop praises his “great wit and wicked sense of humor.” Cosmic Significance 2012 soars directly into his favored milieu of socio-political commentary and sexual innuendo.  Elizabeth Brackman is also co-author of Coco and Luce: The Last Train to Peking.

Five half-hour episodes have aired so far and are archived at CosmicSignificance.com with entertaining links and exclusive web extras. Join Professor Don Von Icken in the Astral Classroom as he explores the extraordinary events leading up to Unification on December 21, 2012. Travel through space and time into the minds of psychic Marvel S. Day and her family, reluctant hero Dante Del Fuego and the mysterious Scurrier Tanake of planet Ceres.

Agent Zecharais Smythe and his ex-wife Ozona Gnyte plot to enslave humanity on behalf of their reptoid masters by using the Massive Media and the Infonet to titillate and manipulate the Sheeple of Planet Earth – while the genetically engineered Hopi have their own ideas about Unifying the Solar System!

See the domed cities on Mars, coral seas of Venus and famed River Rings of Saturn as tardis-saucer Roger Ten-Four chauffeurs our heroes across the asteroids.

Cosmic Significance 2012 is written and directed by Dewey Davis-Thompson and Elizabeth Brackman with mixing and sound effects by David Lassa. Cosmic Significance 2012 is a production of Pirates and Angels and SoundStage Radio Theatre and features music by audio*body and local tiki legends The Stolen Idols.

This radio series contains full nudity, mature subject matter and utter irreverence!

Pirates and Angels is a production company based in Tampa Bay and has recently foisted Ganymede and The Tocobaga Bargain on the local area.

SoundStage Radio is also based in Tampa and operates from the studios of WMNF community radio 88.5FM
